Yoodli alternatives
We make Charisma Lab, one of the five alternatives below. If Yoodli already gives you what you need, keep it. We say where it's the better pick.
Short answer
Pick by how you want to practice.
- An AI that plays the other person in an interview or a hard conversation, on your iPhone: Speeko or Vocal Image.
- Spoken coaching with specific vocal instructions and follow-up practice: Charisma Lab.
- A phone app that scores every rehearsal of a talk: Orai. Its yearly plan is $49.99.
- Free feedback while you rehearse your slides: Speaker Coach in PowerPoint for the web.
- Roleplays of interviews, pitches and sales calls at a computer: stay with Yoodli.
What Yoodli does and what it costs
Yoodli runs in your browser. You practice interviews, pitches and sales calls with an AI playing the other side. You can also rehearse a presentation for an audience you pick, then take AI follow-up questions to get ready for the Q&A. Each session gives you a report on your pacing, filler words and more, with suggestions. You can upload a recording for feedback too. Yoodli's FAQ says it also works on your everyday video calls, like Zoom or Teams: it joins as a participant and analyzes every speaker, or in private mode records only you.
The free Starter plan gives you 5 sessions in total, and any practice over 30 seconds counts as one. Pro is $8 a month billed yearly, for up to 10 roleplays a week. Advanced is $20 a month billed yearly, with unlimited roleplays. Paying monthly costs more: the pricing page says yearly billing saves 40%. Of the plans for individuals, only Advanced keeps your roleplays out of AI training by default. On Starter and Pro, Yoodli says session data may be used to improve the platform. It doesn't refund when you cancel. We found no Yoodli app on the US App Store or Google Play. Yoodli pricing · Yoodli's FAQ

Five alternatives to Yoodli
Charisma Lab
WHAT YOU DO Talk out loud about the moment you're preparing for, then hear your recording played back. Voice Cam on the home screen shows your volume, pitch and pauses as you talk.
NEXT TO YOODLI Yoodli's AI plays the other person in a conversation. Charisma Lab's coach gives spoken feedback on your delivery and follow-up practice.
PICK IT IF you know your material and lose the room on how you say it: statements that rise like questions, a flat voice, sentences that trail off.
BEFORE YOU PAY Made for iPhone and iPad. Setup is free and includes a short live session with the coach. After that the app needs Pro, which is $14.99 a month in the US. That's more than Yoodli's Pro at $8 a month billed yearly, and Yoodli has a free plan. We're new, so we only have 14 ratings. Pricing and canceling · App Store listing

NEXT TO YOODLI Free, and it coaches the deck you'll actually present: on-screen guidance as you rehearse, then a report.
PICK IT IF you're presenting slides and want a free check on your delivery.
BEFORE YOU PAY Nothing to pay in PowerPoint for the web: sign in with a Microsoft account, save your presentation to OneDrive and open it there. Free alternatives to Yoodli
Speaker Coach is free in PowerPoint for the web. Speeko's free download includes some exercises, and Vocal Image offers a free trial. Yoodli's own Starter plan is free for 5 sessions. Charisma Lab isn't free after setup.
For a free roleplay, ask a friend to play the interviewer and record your answers on your phone. Play them back and listen for filler words and a rushed pace. How to answer interview questions gives you a method for any question, and how to record yourself practicing a speech covers what to listen for.
Practice out loud with an AI coach in Charisma Lab
Charisma Lab is a speaking coach on your iPhone. In Speak, tap the center and tell the coach what you're preparing for, like a talk or an interview. Say it out loud one part at a time. A pause of about two seconds ends a take. You hear the take played back, then the coach tells you what to fix and sends you back in.
To see your delivery while you talk, open Voice Cam on the home screen and record, with the camera or audio only. Each recording runs up to a minute. It shows your volume, pitch and pauses, plus an estimate of your pace in words per minute. Setup is free and includes a short live session with the coach. After that, the app needs Pro, which is $14.99 a month in the US. See pricing.
